Leavings Orchestra featuring Timo Rautiainen – the biggest hits of Leevi and the Leavings and their most beloved Christmas songs live!

The Leavings Orchestra, formed by the original members of Leevi and the Leavings and fronted by Timo Rautiainen, brings the Christmas spirit to life! The ensemble will offer a unique evening full of the band’s most unforgettable mega-hits and Christmas-themed songs at Tampere Hall on 15 December.

Gösta Sundqvist’s rare Christmas songs and hits performed live
The band will perform songs from the legendary Varasteleva Joulupukki (The Thieving Santa Claus) album, written by Gösta Sundqvist and released in 1990, including Jossain on kai vielä joulu, Jouluksi mummolaan, Joulukertomus and Soiva jouluyllätys, as well as Jouluaattona kännissä from the special edition of the Rakkauden planeetta album. Naturally, the evening will also include many of the band’s biggest hits such as Teuvo, maanteiden kuningas, Mitä kuuluu Marja-Leena?, Kyllikki, Pohjois-Karjala, Poika nimeltä Päivi, Itkisitkö onnesta? and Rin Tin Tin — all performed live with Timo Rautiainen’s deeply praised interpretation.

Original lineup on stage
The band consists of Leevi and the Leavings’ original members: bassist Risto “Rife” Paananen, mandolin and guitar player Juha Karastie, and drummer-guitarist Niklas Nylund. The orchestra is completed by keyboardist Janne Teuronen and backing vocalist Tiia Teuronen.
